VOLUNTEER
Volunteering is a great way to get more involved in the church community, make friends, and have fun. It's also a good way to grow your skills and to come alongside others both in their journey of faith and also in life more generally.

At St. Mary's we have lots of opportunities for people to volunteer their time, talents and energy throughout the year in all sorts of different ways.

As part of commitment to maintaining a safe environment, volunteers are required to complete a volunteer questionnaire and hold an up-to-date Police Check. We also ask that all our volunteers undertake free Churchsafe training which is provided at various times throughout the year by the Diocese of Perth. Those volunteering to work with or around children are also required to hold a valid Working with Children card.

CURRENT VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

Publicity: As we seek to engage more with the wider community, we are looking for one or more volunteers who can help with publicity. This will involve sending out press releases for events to local media, helping to prepare publicity material (posters, email, social media etc.), and sending it out. (Time commitment: 2-3 hours per event).

Video and Sound: As we seek to share what we are doing with a wider audience, we are looking for volunteers to take video recordings of services, concerts and events and to edit them for use on our website. Longer term we hope to be able to offer view on demand worship. We are also looking for people to help make good quality sound recordings of our music and sermons that we can use on our website or a podcast.

Lighting: St. Mary's is a popular event for recitals and chamber music concerts. We are seeking a suitably experienced volunteer to help us take our event lighting to the next level.

We also have opportunities to serve in our hospitality and welcoming teams, Mainly Music, Liturgically, and lots more! If you would like to get involved please email the Parish Office.
