ABOUT US
The Anglican Parish of South Perth was established in 1898 and has a long, proud history of serving the community of The City of South Perth, and has been on its current site since 1931.

We believe that our faith calls us to ask questions, engaging with the mystery of God. We also believe that God’s love is for all people, and that we are called to respond to that love by loving each other, without limit. As a parish, we try to be supportive of each other in this journey of discipleship. Sometimes we succeed, and sometimes we fall short, but as a community, we want to keep trying.

We believe that good music has the power to draw us into the presence of God in a unique way and music holds an important place in our life at St Mary’s.
OUR VISION
Our vision is for:
A world that is:
-
Godly, joyful and loving;
-
Civil, peaceful, merciful and just;
-
Thinking, reflective, dynamic and productive;
-
In harmony with the earth and all of creation; and Completed in Christ.
A society where:
-
The values of God’s Kingdom have become the values of all.
-
All people have a sense of hope, trust and mutuality; the vulnerable are respected, safe and nurtured; and dignity is afforded to all because we are free from fear.
-
There are opportunities for all to belong and discover their gifts, with equity of access to resources.
-
Our diverse roots and history are acknowledged and understood, including the natural place that defines us.
-
Our indigenous stories are embraced and celebrated.
-
We embrace all peoples of the world, and joyfully receive from others different to ourselves.
-
Living by Gospel values is of more importance than wealth and social status.
OUR CORE PURPOSE
We are a people called to worship God in Christ and by the power of the Spirit to share radical love with the world, building communities of hope, healing and transformation.
